Since 2004, revealing what drives you!

Question for gifteds (HPI): isn’t it incredible that they explain to you who you are… as if you were 10 years old?

It’s funny, isn’t it? Had you noticed?
They’re addressing HPI and yet they oversimplify to the point of nonsense what you are, what you experience, etc.

You’ve noticed that, right? I’m asking because no one seems bothered by it.

Because someone who’s HPI thinks, complexifies, explores, questions, and nuances things quite naturally, don’t they?

So I asked myself: why do they do this…

I only see two main reasons: a lack of real mastery of the topic (being HPI doesn’t make you an expert) and the search for broad identification.

If you see others, drop them in the comments…

By oversimplifying micro‑aspects that could apply to almost anyone to some extent, they manage to cast a wide net and make many feel concerned.

Then they sell you assessments when they’re not even psychologists… Sure, some may have enough experience to be legitimate, but the vast majority?

The former schoolteacher?
The former sales director?

Seriously…

Lately, content about HPI has exploded in ultra‑simplified, caricatured, or even outright false versions:

Faux self reduced to “a social mask you wear all the time.”
✅ HPI women reduced to the cliché of “she overthinks and has issues with food.” (yes, that’s on YouTube…)

I’ll stop there, but I could give you five pages of examples.

📌 The result?
We box people in even further with stereotypes.
We erase the diversity of lived experiences.
And worse: we perpetuate clichés that crumble under even minimal serious exploration.

🧭 If you’re HPI, you know your identity isn’t summed up by a single word or diagram.
If your child is HPI, how do you tolerate the abusive, false oversimplification of what they live through—and let yourself be influenced by nonsense? (No, I’m not exaggerating; I’ve seen it over and over in posts.)

And if you support HPI individuals and truly understand them, show some depth.
Take the time to develop, to add nuance, to articulate your ideas.

Those who are truly interested won’t struggle to follow or to dig deeper.

Because behind every simplified label, there’s a life, a context, a unique story.

Simplify, sure—but not at the cost of real meaning.
