My Conception of Coaching Practice
The coaching I offer is entirely person-centered. I do not give you advice; instead, I ask you questions to help you find your own solutions and achieve your goals.
The support I provide, which I call "accompaniment," is not strictly coaching, as it does not rely entirely on your resources—unless you specifically request it. In such cases, I maintain a coaching posture but also adopt a role as an advisor or trainer. A quick example: for oral preparation, based on my experience, I may suggest an exercise, a method, or a tool that I believe will be beneficial for you.
These types of support aim to provide you with the foundational tools to move forward, while working with you to identify what suits you best and helps you feel more confident and effective, always with the goal of fostering your autonomy. Depending on the issue, I may "propose" certain know-how or methods and occasionally recommend specific techniques to implement if concrete elements suggest that they will make you more effective in achieving a goal or sub-goal.
An Approach Rooted in the Pillar of All Action: Choice
Coaching, as I practice it, is grounded in a reality and a conviction: choice is a powerful and foundational act. Whether it’s orienting your academic path, reinventing yourself professionally, or navigating a pivotal life stage, every decision must be informed, deliberate, and aligned with your aspirations and constraints.
My method—whether delivered digitally or in one-on-one coaching—is first and foremost personalized. It is based on a precise understanding of the mechanisms behind the formulation and evaluation of choices, active listening, and tailored or custom-designed exercises to ensure progress. I prioritize questioning, reformulation, and projection exercises specifically designed to help you explore your options from every angle. My approach is enriched and strengthened by my expertise in ergonomics, enabling me to analyze not only your initial situation and objectives but also how your choices will impact your activities and daily life.
My role is not to advise you on what to choose but to guide you in understanding the implications of each option, evaluating their feasibility, constraints, and impact. Whether you’re a student or a professional, we work together to make choices that resonate with you and harmoniously shape your life as you envision it.
Orientation and Transition: Two Interconnected Priorities
Orientation and transition are not distinct stages; they are part of a continuum. Both processes involve the same mechanisms: self-reflection, evaluating possibilities, and anticipating consequences to make informed decisions.
Orientation: Building a Motivating Project
For a student, orientation is not limited to choosing a field of study or a career. It’s a critical moment that requires:
- Identifying interests and talents without being confined to subjects in which they excel.
- Exploring long-term perspectives in a world of work that is uncertain and undergoing profound transformations to give meaning to the effort required.
A well-thought-out choice becomes a source of motivation. Even subjects or skills that don’t naturally appeal to you can become tools for progressing toward a fulfilling personal and professional goal.
Transition: Reinventing Your Journey
For professionals, transition is often seen as a rupture. Yet it can be a tremendous opportunity for repositioning. Whether it’s about changing careers, climbing a step in your professional journey, or pursuing a reconversion, it involves:
- Taking a step back to better understand your experiences, achievements, and desires, and realigning your goals.
- Anticipating the impacts of changes on both your personal and professional life.
In both cases, my approach aims to guide you through a holistic reflection that considers your aspirations, values, and unique context.
Developing Skills to Succeed in Choices and Transitions
Choices and transitions are not limited to singular decisions. They often require training and, most importantly, practical skills to implement them effectively.
1. Public Speaking Preparation
Whether for an academic oral exam or a professional presentation, public speaking is an art that requires preparation and mastery. On a case-by-case basis or upon request, I offer tailored support to:
- Structure your message and create impactful materials.
- Work on your posture and ease.
- Transform what might initially feel like a source of stress into an opportunity for self-assertion.
2. Self-Presentation in Interviews
In a professional context, the ability to present yourself clearly and authentically is crucial. My support aims to:
- Help you better understand and articulate your skills, expertise, and interpersonal strengths.
- Prepare you for recruiters' expectations by tailoring your speech.
- Provide you with the tools to stand out while staying aligned with your values.
These skills are not only essential for overcoming key stages but also form a solid foundation for achieving your career goals.
A Comprehensive, Personalized, and Multidisciplinary Approach
My approach, informed by my training in coaching, psychology, and ergonomics, enables me to adopt a systemic perspective on choices, transitions, and their implications. All my support services, even those delivered digitally, take your individuality into account and consider each situation in its entirety. In one-on-one coaching, my role is to adapt to the needs and challenges specific to each person.
Whether you are a student seeking orientation, a professional in transition, or simply at a crossroads in your life, my role is to guide you through a clear, comprehensive, and structured process that respects your ambitions. Together, we work to ensure that every decision becomes an opportunity for growth, a driver of motivation, and a cornerstone for building your next life chapter.
